 HPC SCREW COMPRESSORS

HPC compressed air equipment is designed and engineered with the quality and forethought required to meet the demands of today's rigorous manufacturing, industrial and automotive applications. HPC screw compressors are renowned throughout the British compressed air industry for their long-term reliability and efficiency. Investment in an HPC compressor, is an investment for the future.

The HPC SIGMA Profile developed by Kaeser Compressors in 1975 set new standards of performance and saved up to 15% in energy consumption compared with conventional rotor profiles. Since then, the SIGMA Profile has evolved further and new airends have been developed that optimise compressed air output to the total power consumed (specific power).

Energy costs taken over the lifetime of any compressor add up to many times that of the initial capital cost, which can make any purchase price difference a false economy. Efficiency and reliability are vital in the production of compressed air and HPC achieve these objectives with quality, durable components that are built to last.

High efficiency CEMEP EFF1/WIMES motors consume less power for greater output and are standard throughout the range of HPC compressors. EFF1/WIMES motors meet or exceed the energy efficiency criteria required to be eligible for Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA's).

As well as the unique SIGMA Profile airend design, all HPC compressors have built in design features that combine to provide exceptional reliability and performance. Now even quieter in operation and lower in maintenance costs, HPC compressors are designed to operate at full load 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

HPC screw compressors are available from 0.31m3/min (10.9cfm) to 79.18m3/min (2796.2cfm) and with a choice of package options. For applications requiring a variable frequency controlled compressor, the SFC package option combines SIEMENS AG drive technology with the unique SIGMA Profile airend and SIGMA Control to provide outstanding performance characteristics. The addition of a refrigerant dryer provides compressed air at a constant high quality to ISO standards.

HPC screw compressors in the 2.2 to 22kw power range are available with the SIGMA Control Basic compressor controller as standard. For applications requiring additional control, flexibility and functionality HPC's PC-based SIGMA Control is also available.

All other HPC screw compressors (22 to 450kW) are equipped with the SIGMA Control as standard.

SCREW COMPRESSORS

Series: SX to ASK

HPC screw compressors with V-belt drive are economic, efficient and reliabile. HPC was one of the first compressor manufacturers to implement the V-belt drive. The HPC drive is characterised by an automatic tensioning device that provides excellent transmission efficiency and reduces maintenance costs.

A major advantage of the V-belt drive design is the flexibility of exact pressure selection which, if required, enables output and system pressure to be adjusted in 0.5bar increments to suit each individual compressor installation. This feature is particularly flexible should a change in pressure be required.

FAD: 0.233 to 3.15 m³/min
Motor Power: 2.2 to 22 kW
Standard Pressures: 7.5/10/13 bar(g)

MID-SIZE SCREW COMPRESSORS

Series: ASD - CSD

Some people talk of direct drive, but really mean geared drive. Make sure you know the difference. In ASD-CSD packages, the motor drives the air end directly, without transmission loss, at speeds of up to 3000rpm via a maintenance free coupling. This low speed is possible with large sized airends that are highly efficient and matched to the individual performances and pressures required. One-to-one drive reduces the number of components needed in comparison with gear drive, increasing reliability and service life. Compared with compressors using small, high speed gear-driven air ends, one-to-one drive provides efficient power transmission and improved power consumption.

One-to-one drive means that the motor is connected directly to the airend shaft eliminating any transmission losses, a feature that gives KAESER compressors outstanding performance and makes greater energy savings possible.

FAD: 3.15 to 16.1 m³/min
Motor power: 18.5 to 90 kW
Maximum pressure: 7.5 to 13 bar(g)

LARGE SCREW COMPRESSORS

Series: DSD - ESD

The DSD/ESD series is a unique range of screw compressors where during the design stage a number of innovative technical solutions were introduced involving the drive system, airend, cooling system and package sound-proofing. All models feature high quality, durable components that are logically laid out and contribute to the outstanding performance and reliability of these compressor packages. Component accessibility is optimised through wide opening doors, removable panels and a sensible design that greatly simplifies maintenance. The result is an extremely high quality compressor package.

The models in the GS-HS compressor series complete HPC's comprehensive range of screw compressors. As with all HPC Plusair compressors, these powerful belt driven units with free-air delivery capacity of up to 2797cfm are quieter than quiet, low in maintenance costs and are designed to operate at full load 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
